EU-länder riskerar missa utbildningsmål
14 februari 2011EU-kommissionären med ansvar för utbildning, Androulla Vassiliou, varnade på måndagen EU-ländernas utbildningsministrar för att EU i dagsläget inte kommer att uppnå sina utbildningsmål.
I dag träffas EU:s utbildningsministrar för att bland annat diskutera hur EU ska få ner antalet gymnasieavhopp från dagens 14,4 procent till under 10 procent år 2020. Sammantaget handlar det om att 1,7 miljoner fler elever än i dag ska fullfölja utbildningen. I målet ingår också att öka andelen unga vuxna med högskoleutbildning till 40 procent från dagens 33 procent.
– Kommissionen står beredd att hjälpa medlemsstaterna när de analyserar sina nationella reformprogram, säger kommissionär Androulla Vassiliou i ett uttalande.
